Ahmed Shahin, M.B.B.Ch, M.Sc., MD. Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Assiut University Hospital, Egypt, and German board-certified specialist. DAAD scholarship for medical research at the University Hospital Düsseldorf 2001-2003. Awarded the International Visiting Physician Prize (DGGG), 2002; the DGGG Prize (Dr. Rockstroh Prize) for best scientific research in gynecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine, 2006; FIGO International Fellowship 2009; Honorary mention of the John Sciara Paper Award of the journal “IJGO”, 2009; and the Dr. Samir Abbas Award for best scientific research in reproductive medicine 2010, from the Middle East Fertility Society (MEFS). Former Diplomatic Cultural Attaché of the Egyptian Embassy in Berlin and Vienna. and currently secretary and board member of the German-Egyptian Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics
